Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains the rules applicable to refund requests relating to Readberry, including subscriptions and Extra Usage packages made available through the Service.

This Refund Policy forms part of the Terms of Use and applies together with theSubscription Terms and Privacy Policy.

The Service provides paid digital functionality on a subscription basis and, where available, allows the purchase of additional usage packages.

Because the Service consists of digital services and digital content made available immediately after purchase, refunds are limited and are granted only as provided in this Refund Policy, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Refund Requests

To request a refund, the Customer must contact the Company at: support@readberry.app

A refund request should include sufficient information to identify the transaction, including the account email address, transaction date, amount charged, and the reason for the request.

The Company may request additional information reasonably necessary to verify the request, investigate the transaction, or assess eligibility for a refund.

Subscriptions

Subscription charges are billed in advance for the applicable billing period.

Unless required by applicable law, the Company does not provide refunds for:

Cancellation of a subscription stops future renewals only and does not by itself entitle the Customer to a refund for the current billing period, except where required by applicable law or expressly approved by the Company.

Extra Usage Packages

Extra Usage packages are non-recurring purchases of additional Service resources that may be purchased while the Customer has an active paid subscription. Unused and valid Extra Usage resources may remain available after the Customer’s paid subscription expires, is cancelled, or is not renewed, as provided in the Subscription Terms.

Unless required by applicable law, Extra Usage is non-refundable once use of the relevant Extra Usage resources has begun, including partial use.

For purposes of this Refund Policy, use of a particular Extra Usage package begins when any resource from that package is actually consumed through the Service in accordance with the Subscription Terms. This may occur after the applicable main subscription limits have been exhausted or, where no active main subscription limits are available, when the Customer uses valid remaining Extra Usage resources.

Where the Customer has purchased multiple Extra Usage packages, refund eligibility may be assessed separately for each relevant Extra Usage purchase, based on whether resources from that particular Extra Usage package have been consumed.

Unused Extra Usage does not create an automatic right to a refund.

Service Delivery and Consumption Records

For purposes of billing, refunds, dispute handling, and fraud prevention, the Service is deemed provided when the Customer actually consumes the relevant Service resource.

Without limitation:

The Company may maintain technical logs, transaction records, timestamps, usage records, subscription records, and other consumption data for the purpose of verifying whether and to what extent the Service was provided or used.

Except in the case of manifest error, the Company’s recorded consumption data shall be used as the primary operational record in assessing refund eligibility and resolving billing or usage disputes.

Chargebacks

The Customer shall not initiate chargebacks or payment disputes in bad faith or for the purpose of avoiding payment for Services that have been provided or consumed.

If the Customer initiates a chargeback or payment dispute, the Company may suspend access to the Service while the matter is under review, subject to applicable law.

In responding to chargebacks or payment disputes, the Company may submit relevant records, including transaction details, subscription status, usage logs, technical records, timestamps, accepted policies, and consumption data.

The Company may deny a refund request where it reasonably determines that the request involves fraud, abuse, refund misuse, chargeback misuse, circumvention of usage limits, or other unauthorized activity.

Refund Method and Processing

If a refund is approved, the refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the relevant transaction, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Refund processing times may depend on the payment processor, card network, financial institution, or other third parties involved in the transaction. The Company is not responsible for delays caused by such third parties.

If a refund is approved, the Company will process the refund without undue delay and, where required by applicable law, within the timeframe required by law.

The Company may, at its sole discretion and without creating any obligation or precedent, grant a refund, credit, or other resolution in circumstances not otherwise required by this Refund Policy or applicable law.

Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any non-waivable rights or remedies that the Customer may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

Where applicable law grants the Customer a right to cancel or obtain a refund notwithstanding this Refund Policy, such law shall prevail to the extent required.
